1. I am trying to complete my new account verification, but I forgot my user ID, password and/or two small-dollar verification amounts. Will I receive a reminder with this information, or how should I request it? After choosing to fund your new account using an electronic transfer from a non-Provident account, you received an e-mail containing a security code to use when performing your New Account Verification. If you need assistance with the user ID and password you set up, please contact us at 1-866-632-4002 or providentbank@provbank.com and we’ll be glad to assist you. In order to confirm your ownership of the external non-Provident account, we need to rely on you to retrieve and confirm the two small-dollar verification amounts we deposited into the non-Provident account. Back to Top | | 5. How long will it take me to see the small-dollar verification amounts in the account I am using to fund my Provident account? After choosing to fund your account using an electronic transfer from an external non-Provident account and providing the information on the other account, we’ll send you a confirmation e-mail. After that, it usually takes two business days for the verification amounts to show up in your external non-Provident account, although sometimes it can take up to three business days. Remember, two “trial deposits” of less than a dollar are made to the your external non-Provident account (as well as two debits to offset the credits). Most customers get these amounts by calling their other institution or signing onto online banking at the other institution. Back to Top | |
