You can open your account instantly by following these simple steps during the application process: 1. Tell us about yourself and your joint owner, if there is one. Provide your: a) Home address b) Social Security number c) Driver's license number, issue date, and expiration date 2. Choose your initial deposit amount and how you would like to fund your account. You can fund your account by: a) Electronically transferring funds from another checking or savings account after providing your account number, bank name, and routing number; or b) Mailing a check. 3. Accounts with two owners are identified as joint accounts – each owner shares in the ownership of the account and either party has the authority to make withdrawals. How do I make deposits? You can make deposits through the mail, ATM or any Provident branch. In addition, direct deposit is a great way to eliminate the need to make deposits in person. In addition, using Premium Internet Banking, you can transfer money between your Provident accounts or between your new online account and the account you used to fund your new account at another institution. Please note that banking regulations limit the number of electronic transfers that can be made from savings accounts. You can review the account agreement and disclosures for complete details. - Before you can make transfers to and from your new online account, simply complete the transfer capability setup form.
- If you funded your new online account from a non-Provident account via electronic transfer, then you will be be able to transfer funds between your new Provident account and your original funding account shortly after your account has been opened. |Back to top|
